I have Good News and Bad News

I wanted to put a post out to talk about some of my plans for my website and channel. It’s a little hard to explain in a social media post so I can go in to a bit more detail here.

So first off… the bad news

I’ve decided to temporarily change my weekly videos on my YouTube channel to fortnightly videos so my next one will be released on Friday, 03rd May 2019. I put my heart and soul into them so they take up a massive chunk of my time.

Being a family man and working the old 9-5, it doesn’t leave me much time for anything else so I’m hoping the new schedule will free up some of my time… which brings me to the good news.

There is something exciting in the works

When I first started my website back in 2015 (damn that seems like a long time ago) it was somewhere for me to post my cooks in a little more detail and hopefully inspire other people to try more on their BBQ. I was a completely new to the world of BBQ and I had so many questions and things to learn.

After a long process of learning, trial and error, asking questions and researching… I discovered 2 things.

  1. There are lots of people out there cooking much more inspirational food than I was producing
  2. If I wanted to encourage more people to cook different things on their BBQ, I had to focus on showing the techniques rather than what could be produced with them.

And so, I started to write more tutorial and how-to based articles. Over the years, I have written quite a few how-to articles and more recently, released how-to videos but I still don’t feel I have been able to help or inspire you guys in the way that I want to.

This leads me to the next progression of Barbechoo. I’m not going to release full details on it now but it’s something I have been planning for months, shelved it for a little while but I’m ready to make it happen.

For me, Barbechoo has always been about guiding beginners over those little hurdles and pitfalls we all faced when we started. Things that may otherwise cause you to give up, but with a little bit of knowledge and support you can push past them and get to the point where you can create amazing food for your friends and family.

What I have planned will allow me to do that in the best way possible. I will be releasing more details in a couple of weeks when I will be asking for some help from you guys. All of this is for the Barbechoo community and UK BBQ so I want to get you guys involved with the creation of it.

For now, all I ask is that if your are new to BBQ, or you have a friend or family member who has decided they’d love to learn more about BBQ – sign up for my mailing list below. You will be the first to know when I release details and I will be asking members of my community for help in the coming weeks

I just wanted to thank you for your support over the years with the website and channel. I promise this move to fortnightly videos is temporary and I will get back to weekly videos as soon as possible.
